Training
Our most important resource is our employees, Brogan Group are committed to training and seek to utilise the full extent of the talents of our people in delivering our industry leading services. Key to this is the creation of a working environment that is safe, challenging, responsive and fair for all our employees.
The group strives to continuously improve in the training and development of all our employees. Our aim is to ensure all our staff are highly trained, multi-talented and competent to carry out all tasks that they undertake. Our commitment to our managers and supervisors begins with ensuring that they have the competence in management skills and associated health and safety matters, to demonstrate the required skill level and awareness of relevant legal requirements.
We use the Construction Skills Certification Scheme to assist with providing the necessary standards of competence to our employees. These standards are delivered with the continual ongoing progamme of NVQ assessments.
Additional development is delivered 'on the job', which allows our employees the opportunity to gain practical experience of the tasks involved, which are supported by guidance, coaching and mentoring. Teamwork is key to our success and this can only be achieved through the successful motivation and participation of our employees on our projects. All managers and supervisors are developed to build and lead a team effectively in support of these aims.
Periodically, we will carry out an organisational training needs analysis of all activities to establish minimum competency levels and identify any training requirements. Following this review, appropriate training programmes will be developed to fulfil those minimum competency levels. Training for competence at Brogan Group is divided into several main categories:
- Induction
- Management & Supervisory Skills
- Health and Safety (CSCS)
- Environment
- Quality
- Rail (PTS/LUL)
- Modular (Toolbox talks, Task specific briefings)
- Job Specific (IPAF, CPCS, CISRS)
