 Roches Stores, Dublin, Ireland

Brogan develops a taste for fashion

Founded in Cork in 1901 by William Roche, as a small furniture shop, it grew to eleven stores throughout Ireland. It was for many years the only true department store chain in the country. Unlike its competitors, Roches Stores generally sold more branded items, particularly clothing. This lent it a more upmarket image than its competitors such as Dunnes Stores.

For anyone in need of serious retail therapy, Roches Stores, Henry Street, is the ultimate destination. Roches Stores has been extended and redeveloped, resulting in one of  the best Department stores in Dublin. There are now five fantastic floors offering the latest in fashion and design for women, men and kids in Dublin.

The five floors of the store extend from Home and Gifts in the basement which houses a new 3,000 sq ft area for The Pier to Cosmetics, Fashion Accessories and Ladies Footwear on the Ground Floor; Menswear on the 1st Floor, Ladies Fashions on the 2nd Floor and the Childrens department together with the main restaurant on the 3rd Floor.
