Queen Alexandra Hospital closer to completion

Jun-2009

Our work at Queen Alexandra Hospital is coming to an end with the hospital entering the opening phase. Feedback and awards from the main contractor to our dedicated site staff suggest our work on the project has been a success.

We are currently striking out at the hospital and it is a very exciting time for the NHS Trust,  over the next six weeks there will be almost 200 moves including staff and new equipment. The new hospital has been ten years in planning and will offer patients from Portsmouth and beyond world class clinical care.

The new extension will house a new 1,200 bed acute general hospital upgrading facilities and expanding the capacity of the hospital. As well as improving the provision of acute healthcare to people in and around Portsmouth.
