Contract Won as Part of Dubai’s preparation for 2010 World Swimming Championships

Access supplied to Dubai Sports Complex

Dec-2009

We are currently providing access to the Dubai sports centre for steel works contractor Cleveland Bridge. The project aims to deliver the world’s best indoor international aquatic centre to address the needs of the 2010 10th FINA World Swimming Championships which will take place in December 2010.

The centre has been designed to provide some degree of flexibility in flooring solutions, temperature and humidity control. The design also allows the main spectator arena (when not used for major aquatic events) to accommodate a limited range of dry sports events (basketball, volleyball, netball, badminton etc) and social and exhibition events.

The project is due for completion in April 2010 and will have the potential to host other international aquatic events such as the Asian Games Aquatics Event and a future Olympic Games.
