High Scores for BAM Sustainable Construction Scheme

Jan-2010

As part of our continuous commitment to sustainable construction we are working closely with major contractors to achieve the highest standards of environmental performance.

Our dedication is reflected in our recent scores for the BAM sustainable construction scheme which was trialled for the months of October, November and December 2009. We are pleased to announce that throughout the 3 months Brogan Group achieved first place for the first two consecutive months and most recently came in second place with an impressive 85%.

The scheme is scored on the following criteria;

  • Environmental Management Systems
  • COSHH
  • Environmental Advisory Visits
  • Fuel, Liquid and Hazardous Material Storage
  • Waste Management
  • Training
  • Materials Management
  • Sustainability
Following the trial BAM is rolling out the scheme to the Great Ormond Street, Angel Building and Unison HQ projects where we are currently live on site. In order to comply with the scheme and maximise effectiveness we have tailored toolbox talks in place as well as continuous training which will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
