Project comprises of a new market square at the heart of the development, helping to reinvigorate a once thriving East London market. Approximately 35,000 sq ft of new shops and cafes will wrap around the ground floors of the development and border the new market square. In addition to this a new Council ‘front office’ facility including a new library, local service centre and other community facilities will also be constructed.

Access has been provided for phase one of the development which is due for completion by summer 2012. Upon completion of all phases, the development will include a new market square and shops, offices, community facilities and approximately 650 new homes.

July 25, 2011 - Rathbone Market Project Won

This month, we have been awarded the access package for the first phase in the Rathbone Market redevelopment.

Phase One is to be completed by summer 2012 and will deliver a new range of shopping units as well as 271 new homes. With the addition of further phases in the future, the entire £180m regeneration scheme will be completed by early 2016. The 680,000 ft² project is claimed to be one of the biggest regeneration projects in Europe.

Once all phases are complete, the development will include a new market square and shops, offices, community facilities and around 650 new homes.
