Abford House will be an impressive nine-storey building facing onto Victoria Street that will be topped off by a dramatic curving roof at the North end, nick-named 'The Bonnet'. The £30 million building adjoins the Apollo Theatre and comprises of shops at the street and lower ground floor levels and offices above.
Part of our remit included the provision of a complex free standing access and a temporary roof to the 7th floor vaulted roof which required extensive buttressing with bridged hanging access and weatherproofing to enable HBG to remove and replace the existing roof panels.

| News International, Broxbourne |
Brogan Group received a testimonial for our high standard of work at News International (Project-HAL) located in Broxbourne, UK. The Projects Department at News International wrote the testimonial to state their satisfaction with the standard and efficiency of our work on this project as well as our ability to adapt to tight time and access constraints. An excerpt from the testimonial sent by Eric Michaelides of the Projects Department can be seen below.
"We recently completed a project to install external signage for corporate branding of our high-tech Printing facility in Hertfordshire. A number of contractors were engaged in order to complete the installation which was complicated by the requirement to access remote locations of the building fascia during the 24/7 production of our national newspaper titles, The Times, The Sun, The News of the World and The Sunday Times.
The schedule for completing the works was constrained and late instruction given with a remit to have the signage completed for a very important site visit. All of the contractors involved worked hard to achieve the deadline. The signage was completed and the site cleared of any indication of the huge effort made to achieve the final result.
The installation team worked well together and interfaced with our Health & Safety, Fire, Security and Maintenance departments to achieve the tight program milestones. I would like to pass on my thanks to all those involved, please make sure your site guys get a pat on the back as they all worked hard to achieve the finished product.
Special thanks to Paul and his team from Brogan Group for their flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to the requirements from the ever-changing program!"

| Natural History Museum |
Natural History Museum - Darwin Centre 2 project - HBG Construction expressed their thanks and gratitude for all the hard work and effort in making the project a success. Brogan Group undertook the complex access requirements for the new cocoon-shaped wing of the Natural History Museum that will house 20 million plant and animal specimens.
The £78 million research centre Phase Two was designed by the Danish firm C.F.Møller Architects. Brogan Group erected a fully boarded Cuplok independent scaffold which was cantilevered and bridged to follow the eight-storey buildings "cocoon" contours, which is the largest structure of its type in the UK. The scaffold was designed to work with various trades in the construction of the cocoon and the installation of the curtain walling, as shown in the picture.
The setting out of the scaffold boarded levels from the main support structure was critical to ensure the finished polished plaster could be accurately applied evenly over the sloping and curved facade.
